The Criminal Records Department of the Clerk of Court's office, located in Room B-116, assists the Criminal Judges in the preparation and processing of criminal cases. The District Attorney's Office and various law enforcement agencies work closely with the Criminal Records Department. These agencies initiate the proceedings that culminate in the prosecution of an individual.
The Criminal Records Department is responsible not only for the preparation of records for court, but also for the safekeeping of all evidence and for the permanent storage of all criminal records. Among the various documents housed in this department are Affidavits, Bonds, Warrants and Expungements.
