Recording

(225) 389-3985

The Recording Department is responsible for the recordation of all Notarial Acts.  This is the point at which the document becomes a public record.  The moment the document is received, it is given an identification number, which is called ORIGINAL AND BUNDLE.  It is also given a dated and timed recordation stamp.  Another type of document recorded and given an identification number is the UCC FINANCING STATEMENT.  This document is given a number that is separate from the Original and Bundle.

Certified copies of documents are available upon request.  All fees are due upon recordation.
